My cousins little boy went through a time when he would do something and then look at every one, throw his hands in the air and go "I did it." It was super cute!
.
Well I had an I did it moment tonight. I have wanted a build a fire since I moved in to my new house but did not feel confident about it so last winter my fireplaces went unused. I had a friend coming over to help me because again I did not feel confident and of course thought I needed a man to help me. Well said friend could not come over so I said "Self you can do this" I went and got my wood in a box (this is not right, my daddy never bought wood in a box) I will fix that soon. I put it in the fire fliped the leaver that I thought controlled the floo and lit the bag the wood came in ( again this is not right). Before I know it the smoke alarms are going wild. So I flip the leaver back thinking I messed it up, nope still going off. So I run go get some water I have to get this fire out and and this smoke out of my house. Well 20 minutes later of loud alarms and freezing with my doors and windows open the noise stopped. But I was still cold!! I pout for a while, thinking I am a smart women I can do this! I get a flashlight and crawl all over that fire place and hidden right in the front of my fireplace was another leaver and guess what the hole in my fire place opened! I called my dad and he reccomended I set some paper on fire to make sure the smoke goes up instead of out. IT did and now I present
The next step is finding some real wood. My grandfather loved building fires and having them going all the time. He would be so dissapointed at my little log in the bag. Dont worry Grandpa, real wood is coming.
